Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account data: email, display name, and password hash (managed by our authentication provider).
Reading data: the screenplays you open, your reading progress, highlights, notes, favorites, and list status.
Payment data: Stripe processes payments on our behalf. We store a customer identifier, subscription status, plan, and billing period — never your card details.
AI conversations: the prompts you send to the assistant, in order to generate responses.

2. How we use it

To operate the service (sign-in, reading state, subscription status), to provide the AI assistant, to prevent abuse, and to communicate operational updates. We do not sell your personal data and we do not run advertising on the service.

3. Sub-processors

We rely on a small set of providers to operate the service: Supabase (database & auth), Stripe (payments), and AI model providers (Google, OpenAI) routed through Lovable's AI gateway. Each receives only the minimum data needed to perform its function.

4. Cookies & local storage

We use first-party storage to keep you signed in and to remember your reading position and theme preference. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

5. Your rights

You can request access to your data, correct it, export your highlights and notes, or delete your account. Contact us through the support channel in your account and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your personal data; aggregate, anonymized usage statistics may be retained.

6. Data retention

We retain account and reading data for as long as your account exists. Billing records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law.

7. Children

The service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We will announce material changes in the app or by email.
